CNA order after an incitement material to violence

Made in the public meeting on 08.05.2025, the National Audiovisual Council analyzed the reports drawn up by the Monitoring Directorate as a result of the notifications received and decided to issue an order to act against the illegal content for an audiovisual material identified on the Facebook network, the profile of Marian Marian MLS.

In that material, a man in a vehicle speaks lyrics: ‘Ballad of Ban Ban (…)’ If you come to kill him,/ To throw in him with a border ‘().

The CNA specifies the caterial violates the provisions of art. 40 para. (1) letter. a) of the audiovisual law, according to which: ‘the audiovisual media services provided by the suppliers in the jurisdiction of Romania should not contain: a) incitement to violence or hatred against a group of persons or of a member of a group, based on considerations such as sex, race, color, ethnic or social origin, genetic characteristics, language or other nature, national minority, wealth, birth, disabilities, age, sexual orientation or chronic contagious or non -stagnious disease ‘.
