Claims in prison for Frida Karlsson’s stalker

Frida Karlsson easily trembles in her voice when she talks about how the 64-year-old man suddenly shows up outside her apartment sport in Östersund one day in August last year.

-Then I became very stressed and scared too, says the 25-year-old when she is heard via link during the trial in Ångermanland District Court in Härnösand.

– He starts talking and I am quick to remove my roller skis from the car and take me (there) from quickly.

It’s the third time For just over three months as the man – who lives in a place in Central Sweden – sought out the ski star. She felt great discomfort even on the two previous occasions in Stockholm and Sollefteå, but after the incident in Östersund she has searched for a new home.

– Even at home, I felt insecure. I am quite faithful as a human being, but after that I started to look over my shoulder.

The feeling of insecurity remains, even though the man has been detained since February 21 this year.

– Last yesterday my window was open. And I immediately got scared and called a friend.

The 64-year-old man is charged with illegal persecution by Karlsson from October 2023 to February 2025. He must have called her over 200 times, left countless voice messages and sent lots of SMS.

Karlsson has never responded to his contact attempt – she has never seen the majority because she blocked the man’s number.

The man claims that the star answered him by posting photos on his Instagram account. He is convinced that he had a love relationship with the skier. In his phone there were over 7,300 pictures, most of which represent Frida Karlsson.

– I have sent sms where it has since been quiet. Then she has posted a picture and communicated that way, says the 64-year-old.

When he is interrogated via link, Frida Karlsson has left the room she sat in and is no longer visible on the TV screen. The man ends up several times in discussions with both his defense lawyer Thomas Bodström as well as the chairman of the court.

– Can you ask some more nice questions? he says upset.

Prosecutor Christina Edlund Nilsson claims at least six months in prison for the man.

The defendant denies Completely to the crime and disputes the claim for damages to Frida Karlsson of SEK 50,000. His defense lawyer believes that the man should be acquitted, but if he is convicted, the penalty should stop at conditional sentence.

After the hearing, the right decided that the 64-year-old should be released on the basis of waiting for judgment, which will be announced on April 9.
