Civil Society Support: EU, Sweden and Germany will allocate 44 million euros to Ukraine
The EU Delegation in Ukraine reported on Thursday that the EU together with its Member States Sweden and Germany will allocate € 44 million to support civil society organizations in Ukraine.

Details: The EU reports that the grant competition will start in May 2025 in the amount of 14 million euros provided to support civil society organizations. Of these, 5 million euros will be aimed at developing gender leadership and conflict resolution strategies.

In addition, Sweden and Germany are allocated additional support of 17 million euros.
The EU also accelerates the support package of 13 million euros, which provides for the financing of direct grants for civil society projects, in particular in gender equality, responsibility for war crimes, access to information, strengthening of democratic processes, as well as social cohesion and sustainability.
This assistance package has the purpose of strengthening the long -term EU strategy aimed at strengthening civil society in Ukraine, increasing resilience to Russian aggression and ensuring that humanitarian and integration efforts achieve those who need it most.
Recently, it became known that the European Union is preparing a support package for independent media in Ukraine for the amount of 10 million euros.
