Citizens come to celebration of Labor Day in Maksimir: prepared 45,000 servings of beans
On the traditional celebration of May 1, the international holiday of work at the Maksimar Park, many citizens arrive from the morning, and are expected to have a rich music and entertainment program for all generations and 45,000 beans and 30,000 portions of Štrukli that will be distributed for free. At the entrance to the Maksimir Park, the citizens welcome the members of the parties! And the SDP, who share red cloves and pre-election leaflets « Unstoppable to Zagreb » with the picture of Mayor Tomislav Tomasevic, urging them to be re-selecting him as mayor of Zagreb in the upcoming elections. The arrival of Mayor Tomašević and his deputies Danijela Dolenec and Luka Korlaeta was announced at the first May celebration. Other candidates for the mayor of Zagreb are also expected in Maksimir, HDZ’s Mislav Herman, as well as the candidate of the Blue City and the Retirement Block, together (Buz), Ivica Lovric, who announced that he would share carnations to Zagreb and Zagreb residents.
Representatives of the Union of Education and Science are also in Maksimir Park. They set up booths, and to citizens all over the park, they share invitations to protest, which they will organize on May 9 in Zagreb’s Ban Josip Jelacic Square. Their representatives will also hold a press conference.

Celebration of Labor Day in Maksimir
At the first celebration at the Maksimir Park, Zagreb and Zagreb residents will be able to enjoy the performances of numerous performers. As in previous years, the indispensable part of the program is the performance of the ZET Zagreb Orchestra, which was joined by the guests of Slagorists.
Ante Gelo band will be entertained from the big stage with guests Mark Tolj, Miom Dimsic and the competitors of The Voice Kids. The concert will also be held by Mariachi Los Caballeros and the band Summer Cinema.
On the small stage, near the entrance to the Maksimir Park, creative workshops, dance groups and performances for children organized by the Zagreb Center for Culture will be held.
Visitors will be able to participate in a general knowledge quiz from 3pm for free.
The celebration in Maksimir is organized by the City of Zagreb, in cooperation with the Institution of Nature of the City of Zagreb, the institution « Good Home » of the City of Zagreb and the Maksimir Cultural Center.
