Chinese scientists have created a micro -robot that can move earth and air
Chinese scientists have developed wireless work, which, according to them, is the smallest and easiest in the world. One of its key features is the ability to change the form to move earth or air, reports South China Morning Post.
Scientists and researchers from the universities of Vicua and Beyhan worked on the micro -work inspired by LEGO. The device has a length of only 9 centimeters and weighs 25 grams. It can be used in difficult conditions, for example, during rescue operations in natural disasters.
The basis for the micro -work is a « morinized actuator » – a component that transforms energy into force. The team notes that their new actuator can be used in other areas, such as creating medical devices and components for virtual or augmented reality.
« Compared to other well -known wireless works, our robot has the smallest size, the smallest weight and the fastest speed of movement on the earth in the world … This advantage greatly increases the endurance of work with the same energy consumption and gives it a better adaptability to the environment, » says Zhang Ihua.
In the tests, the micro -robot flew over the objects and landed, after which he switched to terrestrial regime and continued the movement. Such a switching system between different configurations allows it to move slopes and other complex surfaces at different heights.
Zhang also tells you that the micro -work is suitable for various applications, including environmental monitoring and access to high risk. He also notes that if necessary, the robot will be able to switch into water moving mode.
