Children rock the open-air | Luxembourg word

The sun is shining and are the children too loud in the apartment? Then out and off to Bonneweg in Luxembourg city. This year’s Picelectronic of the “Rotondes” cultural institution takes place in the capital district on the traffic -calmed Place du Parc.

Wherever a few people are fed on the benches, Halligalli is today. Children of all ages take part in the “Festival for Headbanging Kids and Grooving Parents” in the middle of Bonneweg. Don’t worry: there is not only hard rock or techno: Small giants run around with alpine horn-like monster horns, it is gymnastics and danced, squeak, sing and laugh.

Ateliers, concerts for minis and food trucks

Under tent roofs, children between the ages of four and 14 build sling rattling in studios under guidance, others practice on instruments, still others on the (radio) microphone. Music to touch and participate is called the motto – and if you look at the happy children’s faces, the concept seems to be well received.

The meals are also taken care of, there are food trucks around the square, there are cake and biscuits. And best of all: the sun plays along and contributes to the successful ambience. The festival has been running since today, Sunday morning, at 10 a.m. and continues until 6 p.m.

By the way, for the fans: The Picelectronic could also be outside the Rotondes next year. Because the headquarters, right next to the train station, are currently being built.
