Children in Gramsh were infected by eggs with salmonella
It seems that the case of infecting children in the public kindergarten in the city of Gramsh has finally revealed.
The results of the tests show that the product that caused the infection was the egg, which was contaminated with salmonella.
From previous analyzes performed in milk and chicken meat, the results were negative.
Meanwhile, in an official communication, the National Food Authority has clarified that it has followed the case and that for samples sent for analysis for the products of raw material milk and chicken thighs, sampled by Drak Elbasan, as well as milk products, chicken thighs, eggs and samples from Draki Tirana, have proved clean for the Salmonella SPP indicator.
Communication to the AKU
In the context of transparency, the National Food Authority continues to pursue legal procedures and public information regarding the samples obtained in food products in Garden No.1 in the city of Gramsh and the supply entity in Tirana, which were sent for analysis to the Salmonella SPP indicator at the ISUV reference laboratory.
We inform that for the samples sent for analysis for the products of raw material milk and chicken thighs, sampled by Drak Elbasan, as well as milk products, chicken thighs, sampled eggs from Drak Tirana, have proved clean for the Salmonella sper.
While for the egg product sample by Draku Elbasan and the sampled chicken thigh from Drak Tirana, the analysis is still in the process.
Once we have this information, the NFA will continue with the further information of the public.
