The film of Ukrainian director Mstislav Chernov « 2000 meters to Andreevka » He received a award at the CPP Documentary Film Festival: DOX in Denmark.

The film documented the events of September 2023, when the military of the 3rd separate landing brigade fought for the liberation of the village of Andreevka, near Bakhmut. The authors of the tape took off every step of the operation.

He worked on Chernov’s project with the Frontline and Associated Press team for almost 1.5 years. The team that joined the film-photographer Alexander Babenko, producer Michel Mizner and Rhine Aronson-Rat.

Music was created by the composer and music producer, as well as twice laureate of the Grammy Prize Sam Slater (« Chornobyl », « Joker »).

« It’s a difficult time for Ukraine. It is a difficult time for Ukrainian cinematographers. But right now we are fighting for truth, for survival, for not forgotten our stories. And this distinction is another proof that they hear and see us.

… We don’t know what is waiting for us tomorrow but we know that while our voices sound we will be alive ”, wrote Mstislav Chernov after receiving the award.

A total of 71 movie in 6 different categories were presented at the festival. DOX Prize: Award was received by Always Deinga Chen’s tape – a chronicle of a farmer family.

Recall that at the end of January the Independent American Film Festival « Sandance » showed the footage movie « 2000 meters to Andreevka ».

In 2024, the documentary of Mstislav Chernov, Yevgeny Maloletka and Vasilisi Stepanenko « 20 days in Mariupol » received a number of awards, including Oscar, BAFTA and a prize of the audience of the festival « Sandance ».
