Charles Kushner in front of the Senate: « I tell you, I’m not the perfect person »
The US Senate voted on Tuesday the approval of his nomination as ambassador to France.
Kushner is the father -in -law of Donald Trump’s daughter – Ivanka, and respectively the wedding of the US President, CNN writes. Charles Kushner is the father of Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son -in -law.
Kushner’s candidacy was voted with 51 votes in favor of 45 votes against senators.

Senator Democrat Corey Booker voted with the Republicans to establish Kushner. Senator Republican Lisa Murkovski voted with the Democrats against his application.
Who is Charles Kushner
Charles Kushner was born on May 16, 1954 to the family of Joseph Berkovitz and Ray Kushner – Jews surviving from the Holocaust. Parents are originally from Eastern Poland, but have emigrated to America from the USSR in 1949.
Kushner is an American real estate entrepreneur, which was deprived of lawyer’s rights. He founded Kushner Companies in 1985.
In December 2020, shortly before the end of his first term, Donald Trump pardoned Kushner. Kushner has donated significant amounts to Trump’s campaigns.
The case of abuse
In 2005, the case against Charles Kshner was filed for complicity for filing false tax returns, preventing witnesses and false testimony. Chris Christie, the former Trump ally, and subsequently his opponent in the Republican Party’s primary elections in 2024, has been charged against Kushner. Then Christie was a federal prosecutor.
Christie commented that the case was « one of the most disgusting, disgusting crimes that I pursued as an American prosecutor. »

Senator Democrat Patti Murray from Washington has disputed that Kushner is not the right choice for diplomatic post.

Kushner is not Trump’s only relative to whom the president finds a place in the government. Masad Bullos, the father-in-law of Tiffany Trump, the youngest daughter of the president, is a senior councilor in the administration.
