CFL blocks several railway lines until Sunday
Several train lines of the CFL are blocked by next Sunday. The lines of Luxembourg-Esch-Rodange, Luxembourg-Wasserbillig-Trier and Luxembourg-Kleinbettingen-Arlon are affected. The reason for this is work on various sections of the route network.
These replacement offers are available
The section between Bettemburg and Esch is affected on the route to Rodange. There are two replacement offers for commuters. On the one hand, the L60 bus line, which all the train stations succeeds between Esch and Bettemburg, i.e. also holds in Schifflingen and in Noertzingen. On the other hand, the bus line L62, which runs directly from the Escher train station to the main train station in Luxembourg city without a stopover.
The situation is similar on the route to water. There the CFL runs work on the section between Luxembourg city and Oetringen. The replacement bus line L30 serves the train stations in Luxembourg-Stadt, Hamm, Sandweiler/Contern and Oetringen, the L34 line goes directly from the capital to Wasserbillig, where passengers can switch to the train. Trains drive from Wasserbillig to Trier Hauptbahnhof and Trier-Haubenstraße.
The CFL wants to rebuild the worn tunnel Hutbierg
Two replacement bus lines also go to Arlon. The L50 line operates all stops along the Luxembourg-Arlon route. The L52 line runs directly from Luxembourg to Arlon without a stopover.
Next closures during summer vacation
In the summer holidays there will be route closures again, including on the route between Bettemburg and Luxembourg city. Further information on blocks and failures is available at www.cfl.lu.
