Certificate survey, the most common reason for non -participation in the Bojcot referendum
When it became clear that the initiators of Sunday’s referendum will reach quorum And that the law would be rejected, many calls for non -participation – according to the survey correctly – described as a political Salto Mortale.
The most common reason for non -participation in Sunday’s referendum was the boycott or protest, according to Valicon’s poll. This reason stated 37.3 percent of respondents who did not cast their voice.

After the referendum, both Levica and the Freedom Movement insisted that their decision to call for their supporters was not wrong. The Social Democrats were of a different opinion, where they did not agree with the boycott and labeled him a mistake.
The deliberate non -participation was most commonly cited by the supporters of the parties who most advocated the boycott, namely the left (64 percent), the freedom movements (59 percent), SD and pirates (49 percent) and Vesna (44 percent).

As much as 60 percent of the total turnout was represented by SDS, SLS, NSi and Democrats supporters. Attendance was the highest among SLS supporters, 61 %.

Valicon conducted a survey through the online panel of Jazve.si after the completion of the polling stations from 11 to 14 May. 2205 respondents participated in the survey, with 1,398 respondents answering the question of the reasons for non -participation.
