« To make our nightlife, entertainment sites safer and any intervention in human health, body and all other emotional things, bullying and harassment would be completely zero tolerance, » said Vilnius Mayor Valdas Benkunskas.

« There will also be certain rules, instructions on how to instruct new employees, existing staff, how to respond to emerging risks at the bar, or even to provide a person if he or she needs help, » said Laura Vaišnore, the head of the Vilnius Night Bureau.

« We are talking not only about the bars, but also the users themselves, who we are educated, how to know that your drink has been added to psychoactive substances and the like, » said L. Vaišnore.

Bar representatives say they saw everything, but the most pressing problem is drugs. It hopes that what is happening in some other cities of the world will not achieve Lithuania.

« I know for sure of cases where people in larger cities can’t go quietly because there are just needles, » said Viktor Diawara, the head of the Loft Arts Factory.

The city government plans with bar leaders to periodic meetings. Will check whether the agreements are complied with.

« Every bar that joined and signed a memorandum undertakes to at least 30 % of their staff during the memorandum period, that is, in 3 years, trained in certain training, » the head of the Vilnius Night Bureau said.

Bars and clubs, who have signed the memorandum, will have a special sign that is still planned to be delivered.
