Centrist wins the right -wing Romanian election / day

An independent candidate, the central Mayor of the capital, Bucharest, has won the victory in Romania in the second round of the presidential elections on Sunday. He gained 53.6% of the voters’ support, while George Simion, a candidate for the George of Romanian Romanian (AUR), George Simion received 46.4% of the vote.

Speaking to supporters after his election victory was already clear, Mr Dan stressed that he would seek significant changes in Romanian politics, given the very much dissatisfaction of the population with the biggest parties in recent years. He thanked the supporters and also turned to those who voted for his competitor, with the message of the need for national unity.

« What you have done as a society in these recent weeks is something special. We fully respect those who made different choices today, and those who made a different choice in the first round. We have Romania to be raised for everyone together, no matter what you voted. The broadcaster also emphasizes that Dana’s supporters, after his speech: « Russia, do not forget that Romania is not yours! »
