Censorship is a threat to democracy!
Over 45 European and American leaders-conservatives and sovereigns, met on March 26-28 in Cluj Napoca, where the ECR summit, organized by George Simion, as vice-president of the Conservative Party and European Reformists.
On the agenda of the events within the summit were important topics, such as the economic and cultural prospects of the Cooperation between the EU and the US or to combat illegal immigration and to reduce the gap between Western Europe and Eastern Europe.
“Our vision is to hold Europe and America together. Only in this way will we succeed, only in this way will we be strong, supporting the free choices and democracy. I think the messages so far received from Washington have been sufficient for all decision makers in Romania, to understand that it is time to resume the constitutional course and to return to the order of law, democracy and free elections, ”George Simion told the end of the three days of discussions.
ECR leaders have drawn an alarm signal on the Romanian coup, suggesting that it could create a dangerous precedent throughout Europe.
Randy Yaloz, the President of Republicans Overseas in France, said in the debates that Europe is at a decisive moment when democratic strength is tested, and censorship is a threat to democracy. He stated that it is trying to suppress the freedom of expression and undermining the elections.
The sovereigns and conservatives present at the event have emphasized the need for a new vision, in the context of the current geopolitical situation, which will protect the cultures, identities and interests of the European states.
During the meeting, the President of Gold, George Simion, vice -president of the ECR Party, stressed the importance of a united Europe around the values of sovereignty and transatlantic cooperation: « We really are interested in the future of our continent, we are interested in the future of Europe and the future of the free world. That is why it is important to be united. »
Among the participants in the ECR Summit were important personalities, such as the president of the ECR party, Mateusz Morawiecki, the Co-president of the ECR group in the European Parliament, Patryk Jaki, but also MEPs from Italy, Poland, France, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Croatia, Spain and Romania. They all expressed their support for George Simion’s candidacy in the presidential elections in Romania.

« What happened in Romania in recent months does not leave us another option: we must support the candidate defending democracy, » is the message transmitted by MEP Fernand Kartheiser, leader of the Alternative Reformist Alternative Party (ADR) in Luxembourg and former ambassador of Luxembourg in Romania.
