In March, Demir decided to limit the number of career checks to 1,000 per month. With those checks, employees or self -employed people can follow career guidance at an affordable rate.
On Monday it was announced that the 1,000 checks for June went out in six minutes. A new chance will follow on 1 July. CD&V is talking about a ‘lottery’ and a ‘Tommorrowland system’.
Highly educated
The party now comes with a series of ideas to use the same budget in a different way. This way the personal contribution could be raised. Highly educated people are good for using 60 percent of the checks. The party proposes to have them pay 20 euros per session.
In addition, a third -paying system could be introduced, so that employers can also offer career guidance to their employees. The support for this could be limited to 20 percent of the cost, such as with the SME portfolio support.
Finally, CD&V also requires the accelerated introduction of a quality framework that the career gates must meet. For this, a transition period runs until 2029. The introduction could be guaranteed the quality faster and abuse would be prevented.
