Caught a shark
– We were hunted in the position of the islet of Tovišnjak Velika when around midnight, the fox shark hooked onto the Circle hook. To attract it, it took two hours, again the fight, they are extremely strong because they have a long tail fin. When we attracted him, then we let him go. It is a protected species and is forbidden to board the ship – Anton Roca told us, emphasizing that it was a hook made by hooking fish exclusively on leaving the jaw, and were made of materials that quickly oxidized and disappear – which means that the fish is easier to recover.
These are animals, very good swimmers that can grow up to 5.7 meters and be weighing about half a ton. It appears all over the Adriatic, unlike other major sharks that prefer the open sea, a fox can be found by channels and shallow bays.
It feeds on fish, squid and crustaceans, and in a hunt for the same uses a tail that has a whip function. More specifically, the beet blow can stun the prey and thus make it easier to catch with their sharp teeth.
By nature they are not aggressive animals, but if they attack them can become inconvenient for humans.
A couple of days earlier caught tuna weighing 300 pounds
We wrote about Roci a few days ago when it’s In the Dugo Island waters, the tuna weighing 317 pounds. She thus became one of the most difficult tuna that was ever caught in Dalmatia and the most difficult in Central Dalmatia.
– We were the water waters of Dugi Island when we caught it at a depth of 50 meters around midnight. The fight was dramatic, uncertain, the fish dragged us, and the ship was dragging us. It took us a lot of power to get it out, it took two hours, and it took us time to board it, that part was problematic because the ship of smaller dimensions. This is where our knowledge and experience we gained with age served us. In the end, we did everything that followed for two more hours, removing the insides, cooling and other things – a licensed tunolwoman recounted to us, hunting fish for more than two decades. He has already caught fishing more than 200 pounds twice.
– Four years ago, I caught a tuna heavy 273 pounds, and six years ago 298 kilos. This last is the hardest that has ever been caught in Central Dalmatia. In Istria, more than ours was caught in Istria. It was 340 – he recalled.
He believes that his seven -year -old daughter Tonka brought happiness. For his father’s day, she gave him a greeting card, which wrote ‘My Daddy is the best in fishing’, among other things.
– The other day I went to tuna with the aim of catching one bigger, harder. And there, we caught her. Thanks to my Tonka – Roco thanked his little girl a few days ago. And now it boasts another unusual catch.
