Catch figures for the effects of system error
Those who have been watching the landing figures of coastal fishing boats on the Directorate of Fisheries have undoubtedly scratched their heads lately as the figures that appear there do not seem to pass inspection. The Directorate of Fisheries informs that there was an error in the Agency’s systems.
When a journalist reviewed figures on the alpha coastal fishing boats this morning, it was seen that a single boat had managed to land a full 1,593 kilos in excess of the permissible total catch. It was noteworthy that this was possible as most boats have only reached two fishing days this week due to weather.
According to the registration of the Directorate of Fisheries, the boat has landed four times, twice May 5 and twice on May 6. It appears to be a double counting, but despite this, the double power of the boat is 294 kilos but not 1,593 as registered.

In addition, three boats can be seen more than tonnes of cod in rowing, but no one, or very small, excess power registered despite the maximum catch of 650 cod quail in rowing.
The cod coefficient for cod is 1 (one) and it is clear that something is curved that a boat can register 1,360 kilos of cod in single landing and only 60 are registered excess.
Boats are registered with twice as much catches in cod than is allowed than no or small excess catch.

Among the total catch of coastal fishing boats in rowing is registered in the Directorate of Fisheries 573 cod equivalents, but based on the registered total catch by species and current cod equivalent coefficients, the total catch of coastal fishing boats 679 cod are in rowing. Finally, the Directorate of Fisheries itself has stated 16.6 tonnes of excess catch. However, it is uncertain whether this is considered correct.
Explanations of the Directorate of Fisheries were sought for these obvious disadvantages. « There is an error in the systems that are being repaired, hopefully it will succeed soon, » says the agency’s reply.
