Catch a rest in Palanga / day
Our journey from Riga to Palanga begins last year on a more order on Friday afternoon, hoping that we may have been out of the city before the congestion begins. The corks are waiting for us, because there is still repair on the Liepaja highway. Stand for 40 minutes, studying the bumpers in front of the car and the yellowish bent on the roadside. After a while, the navigation is already turning to the left, and laughing that the picturesque path has begun – the next four hours literally have a cloud or hay roll, a wavy yellow wheat field in the wind, or against the horizon as such as an anchor’s call. From time to time, we also come across a heavier unit of machinery, because it is the very time of grain – farmers are rushing to harvest before the upcoming rain.
It finally reaches Palanga just an hour before sunset, and watching the newly built areas of home, it seems that we are in a completely different city – not where we last visited twenty years ago. From that time, the ventricular nuoma, or rented rooms, which were the fastest and most reliable way to get to accommodation. Now there is no mention of houses with an outdoor toilet, but modern new projects with large windows, gorgeous gardens and reserved parked parking are only for the residents of these castles.
This time we remain in one of the modern sanatoriums, which could otherwise be called the hotel, but the offer also has medical spa services, so the name of the sanatorium has been earned. The parking lot is full, even for a moment we start to feel the patchwork until one place is right next to the entire fine driveway, which is enclosed by ribbons. Just like in Dubai at the supermarket!
At the reception, we are given graphs with reserved procedures, and just seeing the strange combinations of numbers and letters at the premises, we find out that the spa complex is really impressive here on a whole three floors! But we will come back to it the next day, first we want to get to the sea until sunset.
