Cash for Rares: experts and dealers

Dr. Heide Recepa-Zabel: The Berliner has Studied art history, contemporary history and design of the 20th century in Hamburg and Berlin. She heads a trading platform and is employed as a research assistant in the « Museum of Things » in Berlin.

Sven Deutschmanek: In addition to the program, he works primarily as a consultant. He is particularly concerned with rarities from the 20th century, such as design classics or sheet metal toys. Deutschmanek has learned car mechatronics technicians and taught himself to do everything over 18 years.

Detlev Kümmel: Antiques and martial arts delight caraway seeds. He opened two fitness studios, played international competitions – and finally opened an art gallery twenty years ago.

Wendela Horz: The trained goldsmith, a certified gemologist and diamond grade is a specialist member of the « German Gemmological Society » and has had professional experience as a jeweler in the jewelry and watch industry for over 28 years.

Colmar Schulte-Goltz: The Essener studied art history, classical archeology and history in Bochum. He has been working in galleries and international art trade for 25 years. After graduation, Schulte-Goltz worked for various museums and universities and has been running two galleries in Essen since then. As an expert in painting and international handicrafts, he works in the art market worldwide.

Dr. Friederike Werner: She has been an expert in art and handicrafts at BARES for Rares since 2019. The scientist and author studied art history, Egyptology and classical archeology. Continuous art-historical research projects as well as the inventory of an impressive furniture and art collection in private ownership justify your broad and well-founded knowledge in a wide variety of areas of art.

Dr. Bianca Berding: She has been a member of the bares team for Rares since 2019. As a scholarship holder of the Berlin promotion at the Free University of Berlin, Bianca received his doctorate with a dissertation about the « Art Trade in Berlin for modern and applied art 1897 – 1914 ». For several years she worked as a guide and consultant for collectors at the Cologne art fair « Art Cologne » and « Cologne Fine Art & Design ».

Patrick Lessmann: Since June 2023, the goldsmith champion has also been part of the « Bares für Rares » team of experts. He stepped into his father’s footsteps in 1995 and took over his jewelry shop in Kaarst. Lessmann is a trained gemologist and diamond expert, but he is not only a fan of glittering stones and noble metal-he also loves heavy metal music. He has been playing guitar in various bands since his teenager.

Annika Raßbach: 2024 came Annika Raßbach as a seller for « Bares for Rares », where it quickly became clear that her passion for retro and vintage objects would go far beyond collecting. In the past two decades, she has acquired the necessary specialist knowledge in a car -talent way. Raßbach also restores and repairs old machines and furniture that she finds at flea markets. With her knowledge and enthusiasm, she has enriched the “Bares for Rares” experts since the beginning of 2025.

« Cash for Rares »: The dealers of the ZDF flea show at a glance

Walter Lehnertz: His flea hall in Krekel in the Eifel is particularly noticeable due to its sheer size. In his youth he learned a horse host, then started self -employed in the construction industry and finally ended up with the junk after a herniated disc. « Waldi » operates a second shop with high -quality furniture.

Susanne Steiger: The jewelry expert has two own jewelry shops. As a trained tax specialist, she not only knows her well with jewelry, but also with the operational side of the trade.

Wolfgang Pauritsch: In the Allgäu he leads an art and auction house. Pauritsch is a public auctioneer. He came to the profession: When he was employed as a security guard in an auction house, the auctioneer became sick – and Pauritsch jumped in.

Fabian Kahl: The youngest of the round: Kahl was born in 1991. His parents, also antique dealer, moved to Brandenstein Castle at the turn of the millennium. Together with his father, he heads two antique transactions. Like his parents, Kahl himself is vegan.

Daniel Meyer: Muenster is Meyer’s area. There he runs a junk shop and an auction house. Before that, he studied art history and free painting.

Elke Velten: Antique and brilliant jewelry is the field of the native of Cologne. Formerly working as an auctioneer, she has been working as a dealer for some time. She has her business in Bonn.

Markus Wildhagen: The trained industrial clerk was interested in old furniture and special finds early on. In 1993 he became self -employed in Düsseldorf – where he now sells his antiques on 1300 square meters.

Dr. Elisabeth « Lisa » Nüdling: The doctor of art historian works as a jewelry dealer in Fulda, where she runs her second generation business. Nüdling is an expert for diamonds.

Julian Schmitz-Vila: High -quality furniture is particularly inspiring him: Schmitz -Avila was suitable for his knowledge of rarities from childhood – his father is already an art dealer. In the meantime, he is leading an offshoot of his art trade in Bamberg.

Jan Cizek: Born in the Czech, made his passion into a profession in 2013 and opened his own shop in Cologne City. On 100 square meters, it offers vintage furniture, industry design objects and old sports equipment. The professional processing of the « old treasures » is one of his favorite tasks.

David Suppes: The 30-year-old Wiesbadener has been working full-time as an art and antique dealer in the family business for eight years. He also has completed Marketing & Media Management and is a lecturer at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.

Christian Vechtel: Already as a teenager, Vechtel acted rarities at junk markets and worked during his studies in art history in auction trade. It has been running his own auction house in Münster since 2012 and has been part of the « Bares für Rares » dealer team since 2018.

Thorsden Schlößner: The Düren -born has always been interested in history and art and finally made his passion a job as a trained retailer, art dealer, carpenter and auctioneer. He has been working as an independent art and antique dealer since 1997.

Roman Runkel: As a trained chef and restaurateur, he has been dealing with old advertising in 1985 from the turn of the century in 1985 – and in particular with enamel signs. In his « old brewery in the Kasbachtal » near Linz am Rhein, his soft spot for nostalgia and his passion for collecting shows. He has been on the show since 2019.

Steffen « Steve » Mandel: He has been part of the bares for Rares since 2016. During his studies in Trier, he came to antique trade via flea markets. He opened his first shop in Aachen in 1977. The antique trade and also his artistic-creative side led him in the role of musicians, actors, director and dramaturge around half the globe.

Friedrich Häuser: Even as a student, the native discovered antiques and art for himself. In 1983 he fulfilled the dream of the antique business and is still the owner of several shops, including in Hamburg and in Quedlinburg. He has been at Bares for Rares since 2015.

Sarah Schreiber: Due to her antique -loving Freiburg family, she has developed her passion for old things at a young age. At the age of 14 she started restoring old Orient carpets and a short time later gained initial experience as a dealer in the family’s art trade. Sarah Schreiber worked in the Homm in Oberursel for ten years until she became self -employed in Niedernhausen at the end of 2021. Their specialty includes the carpets, oriental textiles, as well as paintings, silver and porcelain.

Benjamin Leo Leo: Since May 2023 he has been part of the « Bares für Rares » dealer. In Cologne, where the Berlin -born in 2006, he has been running a vintage store in Südstadt since 2017. He only turned his love for old furniture, art and curiosities into a profession after studying law and working as a copywriter.

Jos van Katwijk: In 2022 he joined the « Bares for Rares » retailer team. He used to have a sports café, later also a restaurant. By visiting flea markets, he came to act with decorative pieces and furniture. He has been running his own « vintage warehouse » in the Netherlands since 2008. If a purchase is particularly happy, he pulls out the « Lucky dollar » typical of him from his wallet.

Anaisio Guedes: The Brazilian’s childhood took place in the Amazon. Early he carried the dealer gene – at that time still with the sale of chocolate on São Paulos streets. Neither with money nor with language skills, the 19 -year -old Guedes finally moved to Europe. After learning German and French within a short time, he started his own art gallery in 2015. This ultimately found its place at Hamburg Airport and is still the only art gallery in an airport in Germany to date. (AZ)))
