Father Tomasz Burghardt was a known and respected figure not only in the church environment, but also outside of him, thanks to his constant work for the needy.
Father Tomasz Burghardt died in Germany
His biography is an example of dedication and service to others. From an early age he was associated with the cathedral parish. He finished the 14th High School in Wrocław, and after graduating from high school he was ordained a priest. He served in many places, such as Oława, Środa Śląska, and Wrocław.
His activities in Caritas of the Archdiocese of Wrocław brought Specific effects in the form of help for thousands of children and youth, including a holiday organization for Polish diaspora children from Belarus. Father Burghardt also had a significant contribution to the development of health and rehabilitation health care facilities, including the launch of two rehabilitation facilities and a care and care plant in Małkowice.
After years of work in Wrocław, Fr. Burghardt continued his mission in Germany, where he looked after Poles living in the regions of Ostfriesland and Emsland. His last years of his life passed in the service in German -speaking parishes, where he also did not forget about the needy compatriots spiritual support.
Father Burghardt died in Germany. The date and place of his funeral is not known yet.
Caritas of the Archdiocese of Wrocław, together with the faithful, recommends Fr. Tomasz Burghardt prayer memory. His departure is a great loss for the community, which he served with such a great devotion.
