Capture of 120 kg « flour », 8 arrested in Spain, including 1 Albanian

The O Salnés region in Spain was the epicenter of an anti -drug trafficking operation carried out by the GRECO Unit of the Spanish National Police, which led to the destruction of a suspected local drug trafficking network. The operation resulted in at least eight arrests and five searches in places such as San Miguel de Deiro (Vilanova), Poio and Buu. In O Morrazo municipality, an Albanian citizen residing in the Avenida de Marín Center was arrested early Wednesday morning.

Sources at the investigation show that the investigation is related to the operation carried out last February at the port of Marín, where an amount of 120 kilograms of cocaine was found attached to the body of a Russian trading ship, Croun Garnet. At that time, the operation remained open, with the possibility of further arrests after the eight detainees notified this morning by the government sub -element in Pontevedra.

The same sources indicated that the Arousa -based group was involved in « small quantities » of drugs. They seized approximately 30 grams of heroin, 160 grams of cocaine and approximately 100 grams of marijuana.
However, the importance of the operation would remain in the links of the local organization. Investigation is being carried out by the GRECO Unit of the Police

National, which sent a unit from Madrid to Galicia and allegedly sent several groups of officers to perform the operation at the same time, which in Vilanova was pointed out by two housing searches.

An Albanian citizen was arrested in Bueu, as well as raids were also carried out in Liñares (PIO). They were supported by all these by officers of the Vigo Police Intervention Unit (UIP).

The operation remains secret, so little information has emerged, but an investigation is being conducted to determine whether the Albanian arrested in Buue acted as a liaison among the gallant clans.
