Cany. Crime near Warsaw. Shocking details of the murder
Wednesday evening, August 30, 2023, in Kanie near Warsaw. Around 19 in front of one of the houses was swarmed with the services. The ambulance intervened first. A helicopter of the Air Ambulance landed in the area. Soon police cars appeared, including unmarked cars of the investigation group. Volunteer firefighters from nearby Brwinów illuminated the area and pumped water from a small eye on the property. The area was separated by tape.

There was blood in front of the property in the Kanie. Bloody clothes lay there. Death was in the background. The perpetrator of this crime, Michał L. (35 years old), heard the sentence. According to investigators, the man is a bachelor and was unemployed before detention.
The District Court in Warsaw found him guilty of the murder of a disabled pensioner Tadeusz P. († 70 years old) and attempted the murder of his guardian Grażyna K. (63 years old) and imposed a total penalty of life imprisonment. The court also ordered to pay 100,000 PLN compensation for the victim of the 63-year-old.
As judge Paweł Du Château pointed out in the oral justification of the judgment, he indicated that only such a punishment can protect society from the demoralized perpetrator. No soothing circumstances were found.
The trial lasted from December 2024. The 35-year-old did not plead guilty. According to his defense, the punishment is grossly harsh.

Grażyna and Tadeusz lived at home in Kanie. The 70-year-old was in a wheelchair. He had both legs amputated. The woman looked after him.

When the victim got out of the vehicle, the accused attacked her and began to choke her using a string. The accused inflicted a series of strokes with a blunt -haul tool in the form of a baseball stick and a sharp -haired tool in the head, leading the victim to the loss of consciousness. Then, thinking that he killed the victim, attacked Tadeusz’s staying at home, asking him 14 strokes with a knife around the neck, collarbone and shoulder, and also chopped the victim using a loop in the mechanism

After a few hours, Grażyna regained consciousness. She crawled out of the garage. Her screams with a request for help were heard by neighbors who notified an ambulance. They found a bloody woman in front of the garage. Tadeusz was lying at the house, in the door between the rooms. In a pool of blood. Face directed to the floor. The medics arrived at the place found the death of a man.
After the crime, Michał L. threw a knife and gloves into the pond on the property and escaped. The DNA of the perpetrator and traces of blood of the killed pensioner and his babysitter were found on these items.

During the investigation, he admitted that he was to buy a car with a friend and collected an advance on them about 30,000. zloty. He explained that a friend who was supposed to bring him a car from Germany, cheated him and did not deliver the vehicle within the prescribed period. Michał L. argued that he would return the advance to Tadeusz and Grażyna.
He was to visit his friends tragic evening. He was supposed to be with them for an hour, and the conversation was calm. Michał L., as he pointed out, was even to move the furniture at Grażyna’s request. During the next interrogation, the suspect was no longer talkative and refused to explain.

The injuries suffered by the seniors were nightmarish. The cause of the death of the 70-year-old was « hemorrhagic shock caused by external bleeding of the faded neck wounds, right supersonic and right shoulder. » The senior was stewed.
