At the Forgensee, the huge water storage for the Lech near Roßhaupten, the level was not sufficient due to the low rainfall to take larger quantities. In order to be able to flood the ice channel regularly, fixed amounts of water in the Lech are required for the city of Augsburg. With less than 50 cubic meters per second drainage quantity, the derivation for the city center and the residual water for the river bed of the Lech below the clamp at the high drain.
The competition organizers of Kanu Schwaben Augsburg together with the city of Augsburg and the German Canoe Associated (DVK) have not yet given up hope that the rain area will still provide enough rainfall by Friday.
Second qualification in the Markkleeberg Canoe Center
The two qualifications in Augsburg and on 3rd/4th May in the Markkleeberg canoe center (near Leipzig), are used to determine the German candidates who can start this year in major international events such as the EM, the World Cups or the World Cup in Australia.
