Can theater save the world? Three open discussions with the « skirt day » audience


Theater cannot save the modern world, but it must be a field of freedom, dialogue and testing of ideas, political utopias and visions accessible to all.

On the occasion of the performance « The Day of the Skirt », which has attracted the intense interest of audiences and critics, the Dipylon Theater and the director Zoe Hatziantoniou are organizing 3 open discussions.

Every Thursday after the end of the show, the scene of the White Room will be transformed into an arena of exchange and feedback of ideas, thoughts and opinions between the spectators, ranking from the work, the dramatic, directorial and hypocritical approach, the multilevel theme.

The discussion cycle will end on Tuesday – and last week – of the performances. The public will include invited interlocutors from the spectrum of humanities – theater, education, philosophy and literature.

Takis Tzamargias (director, educator, SPD in the undergraduate and postgraduate program of PTSE, Department of Education Sciences, Department of Theater Studies of the EKPA and the corresponding Department of PA PA, with the specialty of « Theater » Initiative on Article 12, aimed at strengthening and disseminating the right of children to freely express their opinion, a member of the Theater Network in Education).
