Came to the shed full of sea
There was a great sea of seawater that windows were broken and the iron was released from the farmer’s sheep farm Árni Gunnarsson, east of Vík í Mýrdal.
« You don’t put creatures back in there, » says the farmer in a conversation with mbl.is.
On the ground there are sheep farms and stables, but the shed stands closer to the sea. He had to move the eagles to the stables, and the horses out, because the shed was full of sea.
« This lagoon is just sea, it flooded in. It’s a way there and it stopped it, otherwise it would have gone up on highway 1 and to the houses. »

The second time in winter
« We got news of this about the eight o’clock this morning and went full -time, » says Árni.
The couple got help from their daughter in operating the money, but Árni also became a man from the Road Administration up the highway. He came as soon as he could help the family.
« We have two houses, one stands closer to the sea and the other a little further away, in fact the lower house disappeared into the sea when we arrived here this morning, it broke it. »
When asked, Árni says this is the second time this winter that this has happened on the farm, although the first time has not been as extensive.
« I was in boots and I was wet in my feet when I was walking into the house, when I was moving between the houses, the sea reached the boots. »

The local government prevented the sale
About two years ago, a defense park was set up below the land of Árni. Then he says the Road Administration has wanted to buy the houses, but the local government has prevented it.
« Then it had been happening, it had been broken so close that it had become a few meters in the house itself. Then they put this garden but that is by no means enough. »
When this started to happen again this winter, Árni says that the defense gardens were not enough defense, but nothing has been done.
« These are old houses, but it’s the same, it shouldn’t be like that. They would be fine if the sea hadn’t come to them. »

Waiting for the next flood

« This is not a gorgeous position, but I have a stables and could put the sheep in.
« I have to find another solution to this, I put all the horses I have out to be able to have the money. I can put the horses out but not the money, it is shortened in sheep so I don’t move it away. It doesn’t quite what you do this fall.
Now you just wait for the flood again tonight. However, I consider myself safe with the creatures here in the upper house as it is now. «
