It was true that at the age of 105, he was the only competitor in his age category and that he had to successfully perform a throw of spear, discs and balls and runs in 100 meters (he had passed in 38.55 seconds) to win gold medals. But as his daughter points out Siripan Janprampeople admire it wherever it goes. He hopes his father’s success will inspire others.
“When I look at comments on social networks, I see a lot of positive responses. People say, ‘grandfather is so great’, they want to be in shape that he is. I am very happy and proud of him – that he remains strong, has discipline and maintains fitness. I know she doesn’t want to be a burden of family, « said the 73-year-old daughter, also a participant in this competition, who won two gold and one silver medal.
A member of the Thai Veterans Athletic Union was the one who impressed her father for competitions. She took him to the games that impressed him, he saw opportunities to make new friendships, and above all found that 75-year-old athletes were still competing.
Regular exercise, healthy food, good mood
The retired headmaster of elementary school began to exercise regularly with his daughter at the age of 80, according to some media outlets even at the age of 90, but certainly at a late age when he saw that many of his friends have been locked on a bed due to illness. Sawang and Siripan Janpram will take a few days of rest after appearing in Taiwan, and next week they will be back in training, as they plan to attend qualifying for the Asian Athletic Championship in November in India.
