Call for cooperation from the Medical Association to the Ministry of Health – Cyprus Newspaper

The Turkish Cypriot Medical Association (KTTB) reported that the artist Volkan Konak suddenly died in a hotel and once again revealed the inadequacy of health services in the tourism sector in the country.

In a written statement made by the Board of Directors of the Association of Medical Association, especially in crowded and high -standard hotels, the revices that lack the equipment and health personnel appropriate to emergency intervention were emphasized that human life was seriously risky.

The concerns about this issue, previously shared with the Ministry of Tourism Culture and Environment of the Deputy Prime Minister, the statement reminded that the minimum standards of health units in hotels and emergency protocols should be developed, emphasized that the cooperation was emphasized, not to date, a concrete regulation and initiative has not been made.

The statement also included:

“Responsibility and authority belongs to the Ministry of Tourism and the necessary arrangements are possible within the scope of the ‘Hotels Regulation’ and it is an emergency requirement. With the arrangement to be made to the statute, the presence of personnel who have received first aid training in each hotel, the creation of appropriate equipped infirmations and the presence of professional health teams that can make full intervention in crowded organizations should be determined.

As in every field of health service, the main purpose in the field of tourism should be to protect human life. In this respect, we call on the ministries of tourism and health in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Professional Organizations to take steps without delay.

As KTTB, he respects the public that we are ready to contribute to all kinds of regulations on this issue; We wish a journey to Volkan Konak in the lights. ”
