Calin Georgescu, a huge fine from AEP

Former candidate for presidential elections Calin Georgescu announced that he received a fine of 200,000 lei from the Permanent Electoral Authority (Aep). He says he paid half of the fine received and challenged the sanction in court.

« In April, AEP issued on my behalf a fine report of 200,000 lei. I paid, within the legal term, half of the minimum value and challenged the fine in court.
The term of court is in September 2025, and until then we will return with news according to the evolution of the file.
