Byron: Gang of Juvenile Commenced robberies

It was dismantled by the Athens Criminal Prosecution and Delineation of Criminal Crimes in collaboration with DIAS Police Group of Juvenile Group Commemorated Robbections in Stores in its area Byron.

Specifically, as announced by ELAS, police officers from the DIAS team were arrested in the Byron region, on Wednesday afternoon (28/5) three 17 -year -old minors, accused of setting up a gang committing robberies, theft, breach of the law.

With hoods and kitchen knife

According to ELAS, the defendants, at least since March 2025, acting with a different composition and alternating roles, have been committing robberies from convenience stores in the Byron area.

In particular, the defendants approached the convenience stores, covering their facial features with hoods and threatening to use a kitchen knife and in one case a pistol at the expense of employees, deducted money.

The defendants were mostly evening and early morning hours to avoid much mobility in the stores and used in all cases a specific type of clothing and in one case attempted to break a shop by flying stones on glass.

The findings

After investigation into their possession they found and seized:

• Pistol-Replica,

• Kitchen knife,

• 2 hoods,

• ‘Operational’ clothing they used in committing robberies and

• 4 mobile phones.

From the pre -trial investigation so far, 5 cases of robberies and theft of shops have been resolved in the Byron area.
