BYD sells more than Tesla in Europe and comes with an electric car of 21,290 euros

The Chinese producer of electric cars BYD sold more electric cars in Europe for the first time in April than the American Tesla. And they will continue to bombard our market with new models: next month the Dolphin Surf will be in the showrooms, an electric city car that will be for sale in Belgium from 21,290 euros.
According to market researcher Jato Dynamics, BYD sold 7,231 in Europe in Europe in April, 169 percent more than a year earlier. With that, BYD ended up in the top 10 of electric brands on the continent. Tesla dropped a place to place 11. The sales of Tesla plummeted 49 percent to 7,165 pieces. Volkswagen is number 1 with more than 23,500 sales. « Although the difference in sales between the two brands is small, the consequences are huge. This is a tipping point for the European car market, » said branch expert Felipe Munoz.
In Belgium, BYD was still behind in April with regard to Tesla. Last month, 570 new Tesla’s were registered in our country, a decrease with 55.3 percent compared to the same month last year, compared to 295 cars from BYD (+89.1 percent).
