But then the truth went up for her
« I traveled to Prague to explore the city a little more. I’ve been there several times, but never gone down to the riverbank, » Sharma told Newsweek.
« This time I decided to go all the way down to the water and saw an animal get closer to the stones where people stand. »
In the video Sharma shared on her Tiktok profile, where she goes by the name @nissasarma, she explained that she thought it was a ‘friendly’ beaver.
« I assumed it was a beaver when it looked like one, and I don’t know much about beavers beyond living in rivers, » she said.
It explains why she did what she did. She decided to feed it. The idea behind is good, of course, but it could have gone completely wrong.
« I thought we could feed it when it was a beaver. Although I had never seen one in reality before, they are often portrayed as friendly in the media. So I started feeding it with sandwiches, » she said.
In the video you see her giving the animal food and the happy animal quickly accepts the food without any problems.
« It wasn’t until a few weeks later when I showed the video to my parents that I found out it wasn’t a beaver, » she said.
Instead, it turned out to be a semi -aquatic rodent called a nutria – or swamp beaver. Sharma couldn’t help but laugh at the whole situation.
« I thought it was a lot of fun that I had boasted of having fed a beaver, and then it turns out that it was actually what the Czechs call a ‘water rotten’ or ‘river rat’, » she said.
