Bushido and his life between farewell and family happiness
Bushido is a star of German rapeseed. He used to be a Bad Boy. With misogynistic and homophobic lyrics and feuds, he caused riot and also with the law there were conflicts. Now the 46-year-old has announced his farewell to the stage and the end of his music career after more than 25 years. In 2026 he wants to give his very last concerts.
Does he mean that really seriously? And is he now becoming a good family man? In an interview with the German Press Agency, the rapper responds to these questions with the bourgeois name Anis Mohamed Yousef Ferchichi.
The very last time?
In 2024 there was a farewell tour: « King forever! ». A comeback after eight years break. But because 150,000 fans celebrated him enthusiastically in Germany, Luxembourg and Austria, the rapper announced ten concerts for 2026 and now five additional dates (advance sale from May 30). Motto: « Everything will be fine ».
I want to go his head and not be thrown out of the disco.

Is that really the very last tour? « It is over. A return is excluded, » says Bushido clearly and muses about the song at the end of his last appearance. « That will really be the last song! I won’t come back. It will be blatant again, definitely. »
« Of course it hurts too, » admits the rapper. But as a dismissed ex-promi, he does not want to go through the country, in no way: « If you have done yourself down, if you no longer sell tickets, then you will only have endless reality TV appearances or you can appear again in the hardware store. »
And: « Ego also plays a role. I want to go his head and not be thrown out of the disco. » He can only imagine benefit appearances, for example for children in war zones.
Is Bushido a lucky guy?
Definitely, he says himself. « I was able to live from music for my life. I was able to realize all dreams that can be bought. I can plan my day independently and I can always sleep in, » he sums up. « I have never lived as a beautiful life in Dubai in my whole life. »
His center: the eight children and Anna-Maria Ferchichi, his wife since 2012. « My wife and I have overcome our problems, we managed to have a relationship for 14 years that could have broken at many points. I would have totally understood my wife if she had separated from me at some point, » he says self -critically. He praises his children as conscientious, even though he himself « didn’t spill with fame » at school.
So is the Bushido, formerly known for riots, now mutated into a good family man? He is a normal type, he says. « When I sit at the dining table at home with my children and my wife, then Bushido has no role here. Then I’m the dad and we talk about normal things. » He earns his money completely outside of music, for example with real estate transactions.
Neither an Fler nor an Arafat nor other people from the rapeseed scene play a role in my personal environment.
Bushido
Is he afraid of the philistine?
« I think I would be defined as a big philistine by other people. But that’s perfectly fine, » says Bushido and laughs. « I am exactly the type of neighborhood dispute and so and I call the police after 10 p.m. when music is running too loud. If you are resting from 10 p.m., then I don’t feel like being awakened by technom music at 2 a.m.
Bushido apparently left his old riot life in Berlin three years ago with the move to Dubai. This included Arafat Abou-Chaker, a Berlin clan boss, with whom he was closely friends and connected to business. After their break, they saw each other again in court. There were also feuds and legal disputes with others such as the rapper Fler.
« I have completely completed it emotionally, » says Bushido now. « In my personal environment, neither an Fler nor an Arafat nor other people from the rapeseed scene play a role. » The farewell from the music business is therefore easy for him. Only the memory of his fans and supporters will always wear in his heart. « But I have completely banished all this garbage and all this scum that has been rumbling in my life for years. »
However, the son of a Tunisian and a German remains connected to his old homeland and regularly hears a Berlin radio station. « I am proud to be a German. Of course I don’t look like a Bio -German, but I feel shit. I feel like a German. Point. »
He does not want to classify himself politically. « It was always clear like Kloßbrühe that we are not right brown assholes. And that I don’t want to have anything to do with such people. But I have to say that I was never left. »
The horror of the gray
And how does he get along with aging? No problem for Bushido, even if he now needs eight hours of sleep and speak to his therapist once a week. « I am lucky that aging makes me more relaxed, » he says.

And gray hair? « I don’t dye my hair, don’t dye my beard, I don’t use a botox and no bla. I brush my teeth and wash my hair. I don’t need any more. » You might be able to stop aging with money. But: « In the end there is death. »
« I want to die happily and satisfied and without fear. At that moment I would like to look back and say: everything cool, » he says. « And I would like to have my children with me and my wife. »
