Bus disaster. 11 killed, over 20 wounded
The vehicle drove from Monterrey – the industrial heart of North Mexico – towards the holiday Tampico on the Mexican Bay. This is a popular route for families and tourists. In the vicinity of Hualahuises, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The bus fell over at the bend.

Emergency services stood up to the challenge. The action lasted for hours. In the pictures made available by the civil protection of Nuevo León you can see a crushed bus, scattered luggage and an excruciating drama.
Wounded were transported to nearby hospitals. Some of them are still in a serious condition. According to « Reuters », the death of 11 people has now been confirmed. There are two children among the victims.

It is not yet known what exactly led to the tragedy. Investigators take into account excessive speed, technical failure or driver error. It is also checked whether it was sober and rested. The bus belonged to one of the private transport companies.
