Burglary attempt on a caravan on the glacis thwarted

On Friday afternoon, the police were reported to attempt at a caravan in the Glacis car park in Luxembourg city. The perpetrator was surprised by the people present and then tried to flee, but was held until the police arrived.

The suspect was brought to the office and arrested by the public prosecutor’s office.

In addition, several further burglaries or attempts to break in the surrounding area have been reported to the police in the past few hours, including in Roodt-Syr and Bettemburg. In both cases, the perpetrators gained access to the houses and ransacked the premises. The police have taken up the investigation and secured traces.

Burglary attempt in Heisdorf

In the early Saturday morning, the police were reported to attempt to break into a car in Rue de Mullendorf, in which a suspect was caught and held by the residents. A second suspect could also be provided as part of the police officers’ search initiated.

Both were brought to the office for further official acts and the public prosecutor’s office was drawn up.
