Bulgarian emissaries in Washington are looking for a favor for importing American liquefied gas, Radev announced

The contract of Bulgargaz with the Turkish State Gas Company Botash, concluded in 2023, under the Government of Pigeon Donev, appointed by President Rumen Radev, caused a new critique of the GERB leader Boyko Borisov. Before journalists in Greece, where he participated in an economic forum, Radev announced that he noticed a lot of hypocrisy when commenting on this treaty.

Borisov has repeatedly accused Donev’s office and the president of the agreement in particular. A few days ago, the current Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov (GERB) announced that the Bulgarian state -owned company owes hundreds of millions of levs under a gas contract it cannot pay. He added that Bulgargaz had already paid hundreds of millions under the same contract, without practically using the service for which he was paying. According to Stankov, the gas supplier cannot afford to pay at all for nine months.

« It is hypocrisy to criticize the Treaty with Botash after you only said a year ago that it is a printing house for the Bulgarians, and today to send emissaries in Washington to look for American favor, offering them the capacity of Botash to bring an American liquefied gas for Europe. You declare a Euro -Atlantic, « Radev said.

« The transfer of one’s own sins to others is a trademark of Boyko Borisov and the people around him. The official governments appointed by me have begun the revelations of the corruption model of Borisov’s previous rule, » the president said.

Today in parliament, the GERB leader again commented on the topic. According to him, the state energy operator « Bulgargaz » is bankrupt, which was already in technical bankruptcy. « Finally, the dream of private merchants came true, » he added.
