Building evacuated: fire in high -rise with high damage

According to the police, the police estimated that a fire in a high -rise building in Biberach was a low six -digit damage. The fire had broken out in the basement of the nine -story building for an unknown cause, as it was said in a message. So nobody was injured. The fire brigade evacuated the building in which around 40 people were registered.

After completing the extinguishing work, a large part of the residents were able to return to his apartments. Only two apartments were initially no longer habitable due to heavy smoke development.

The police now determine whether a technical defect has triggered the fire or whether it was deliberately laid. The building technology is also in the basement in which the fire broke out. 60 firefighters and 31 emergency services, a rescue helicopter and several police patrols were involved in the deployment.
