Buckingham Palace announced after Prince Harry’s statement about reconciliation: always the same conclusion
Buckingham Palace announced after the United Kingdom’s appeal court rejected the appeal Prince Harry related to his right to police protection during his stay in the UK.
– All of these questions are repeatedly and thoroughly examined in the courts, each time with the same conclusion – said a short statement from the Palace.
The sources close to the royal family also emphasized that King Charles did not consider it appropriate to comment on the case while in court proceedings, holding that his every interference would be contrary to the constitutional principles and the division of powers between the executive power and the judiciary.
Following the publication of the verdict, Prince Harry expressed his disappointment in an interview, calling the decision ‘devastating’ and claiming that the whole process was a ‘classic conspiracy establishment’.
He particularly criticized the work of the Ravec body (Executive Board for the Protection of Members of the Royal Family and important public figures), claiming that the annual risk assessment was not carried out and that he was not given basic concern and protection on which he, in his opinion, is entitled.
He announced that he would contact the Minister of the Interior with a request for urgent re-examination of the Process and Decision of Ravec, emphasizing that his entire goal was to ensure the safety of his family during his visit to his homeland.
The court, however, concluded that there were no procedural irregularities or violations of law, and that Ravec acted in accordance with the rules. Prince Harry thus remains without automatic state police protection in the UK, and his safety will continue to be assessed from case to case, depending on the risk assessment at every visit.
