BSP leader: I hope the president does not aim to generate a new political crisis
« I have never been a supporter of the institutions to talk through the media. The most normal is to have a dialogue. It is normal for the institutions to be a mutual corrective. It is best to be partners. But of course there must be some corrective. This was said by BSP leader and Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov over the criticism of President Rumen Radev to the office.
He recalled that the BSP was a party, which for two terms unconditionally, supported President Radev. « And we expect, of course, this contribution to be appreciated, » Zafirov added
He expressed the opinion that the assessment of what was over and what the government did not end for a hundred days should come from Bulgarian citizens.
Radev: Not a hundred days of Zhelyazkov’s office, but a new beginning of the Borisov model
Regarding the president’s allegations of Delyan Peevski’s dependencies, Zafirov said: « When such accusations are thrown, they should not be at the level of the yellow press and the so -wing tone of the Bulgarian opposition. They must be lined with any reasoning. I do not see any meaning in such allegations. »
For Zafirov, the participation of BSP – a united left in a government is the « necessary stabilizing factor » it needs. « Yes, this is not the budget that left Bulgaria dreams of, but this is still a relatively left budget. And we have to realize that if we did not take this heavy political responsibility and our partners, of course, this budget could be much more.
According to Zafirov, the present government has provided the prospect and the opportunity to function in the Bulgarian municipalities.
