At Brussels Airport at least 30 percent of the departing flights will be canceled on Tuesday. Disruptions are also possible with upcoming flights. The airport operator announced this on Friday.

The nuisance has to do with a national action day of trade unions against measures from the federal government. Some of the dealers and the security personnel at the airport will participate. That leads Brussels Airport into measures, « to perform our airport activities as optimally as possible and to continue to guarantee the safety of our passengers and our staff ».

Specifically, 30 percent of the departing flights are canceled. For aircraft that lands on Brussels Airport, there is in principle no nuisance, but there are also delays and cancellations possible there, says the airport operator. He adds that the number of deleted flights can still increase in the coming days.

It is the airlines that inform travelers if their flight is hit.

Passengers who have a flight on Tuesday also take into account possible disruptions in public transport. Brussels Airport asks to be at the airport on time: two hours before departure for a flight within the Schengen zone and three hours for a long -distance flight.
