US superstar Bruce Springsteen rummaged in his documents and is likely to make fans happy with the result: The “boss” wants to bring out seven unpublished albums at the end of June. « Tracks II: The Lost Albums » is to be released on June 27 and contained a total of 83 songs, of which, according to the announcement of the Sony Music 74 record company, never officially published.
The recordings were taken in various creative phases of the 75-year-old between 1983 and 2018. The seven plates were originally designed as complete albums. « All of these LPs are closed albums – some of them were even short -time – but which were never published. In the past few years I have often listened to them or played close friends, » said Springsteen himself. As a foretaste, he released the song « Rain in the River » on Thursday.
American icon
Springsteen is considered one of the most influential musicians in US history with songs such as « Dancing in the Dark » or « Born to Run ». He was born in 1949 in the small coastal town of Long Branch in the US state of New Jersey in simple conditions. Springsteen later described his childhood in the Irish -Italian -born large family several times in his songs – the father often cholerically, drunk or depressed, in constant effort to hold the family together.
Even as a child, Springsteen got his first guitar – and found refuge in music. To date, the musician is considered the voice of the working class and chronicler of America.
Experiments with electronics and country
The albums of the record company cover a stylistically wide range. “La Garage Sessions ’83” contains early studio versions from the success of « Born in the USA », while « Streets of Philadelphia Sessions » are based on electronic experiments with drum-machines and samples. Other albums such as « Faithless » come from projects that never got beyond the planning stage – such as music for a never realized film. Springsteen Country influences processes on « Somewhere North of Nashville ».
With “Tracks”, Springsteen had brought out a number of unknown songs and B-pages over 25 years ago. The new collection is now intended to expand the view of the previously hidden work of one of the most influential songwriters of the present. (APA)
