The seven plates were originally designed as complete albums. « All of these LPs are closed albums – some of them were even short -time – but which were never published. In the past few years I have often listened to them or played close friends, » said Springsteen himself. As a foretaste, he released the song « Rain in the River » on Thursday.

Springsteen is considered one of the most influential musicians in recent US history with songs such as « Dancing in the Dark » or « Born to Run ». He was born in 1949 in the small coastal town of Long Branch in the US state of New Jersey in simple conditions. Springsteen later described his childhood in the Irish-Italian-born large family a lot in his songs-the father often cholerically, drunk or depressed, the mother in constant effort to hold the family together.
Even as a child, Springsteen got his first guitar – and found refuge in music. To date, the musician is considered the voice of the working class and chronicler of America.
Experiments with electronics and country
Easily gray, but also on the go with 75 to sing the joys and abysses of the « American Dream »: the « boss » has aged well. In 2025, the current world tour with its E Street Band already goes to its third year – and also stops in Berlin (June 11) and Frankfurt (June 18). Photo: Sony Music
The albums of the record company cover a stylistically wide range. “La Garage Sessions ’83” contains early studio versions from the success of “Born in the USA”, while “Streets of Philadelphia Sessions” are based on electronic experiments with drum-machines and samples. Other albums such as « Faithless » come from projects that never got beyond the planning stage – such as music for a never realized film. British artists and authors warn of a sale to AI
With “Tracks”, Springsteen had brought out a number of unknown songs and B-pages over 25 years ago. The new collection should now expand the view of the work hidden so far from one of the most influential songwriters of the present.
German fans might even hear the new, old songs live soon: Springsteen wants to stop again in Europe together with his E Street Band.
