« Wedding at second glance »: The transmission on TV and stream

In terms of TV, we unfortunately have to report failure, the « wedding at second glance » does not run in the linear television program of Sat.1. This is not a problem for spectators with digital devices, because the show is at the broadcasting streaming service Joyn available.

What is « Wedding at second glance » about?

In the format « Wedding at second glance », twelve singles are scientifically matted and spend their first time together in a vacation culperises on the Greek island of Crete.

The team is already known to the fans of reality dating shows, because it also ensures the scientific basis at “Wedding at first glance”. Dr. Sandra Köhldorfer, psychoanalyst and psychotherapist from Austria, is one of them. There is also a couple and sex therapist Beate Quinn, who always has an open ear for the concerns of the couples. The trio is completed by the graduate psychologist and matching expert Markus Ernst, who with his experience determines the ideal couple constellations.

In contrast to « wedding at first glance », in which the participants marry directly without getting to know each other, the experiment begins with an engagement. The couples have the opportunity to get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere and deepen their relationship. They move into the Couple House together in Crete and experience how their connection develops. After all, the decisive question arises in the grand finale of the show: Did scientific matching actually mean that real love has arisen? Will the engagement become a marriage?

With this spin-off builds Joyn on the success of « wedding at first glance » and extends the concept with a phase of experiencing and understanding together. The new show remains true to the scientific method, but offers the candidates more space for personal development before they close the federal government for life.
