Brnabic for Belgrade Parliament incident: Terrorist act committed by opposition representatives

Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic assessed that today's incident in front of the Belgrade parliament is « a terrorist act committed by opposition officials ».

She said at a news conference in the Serbian Assembly that the incident was caused by « the same people who participated in the attempt to block, burn and violently take over state institutions in the Serbian parliament ».

« The same people have continued the brutal violence in front of parliament in Belgrade, » Brnabic said.

She accused opposition officials of « preventing » Informer journalist Branka Lazic « to do her job » and report from today's session of the Belgrade Assembly.

– MP Borko Stefanovic was physically prevented from entering the city hall. They abused her and physically assaulted her, even preventing her from being sheltered for sure when the attack began. It is not Serbia, Serbia is a country of honest people who will help you when you are in danger, especially women. What we have seen from Filas's opposition terrorists is that women are beating – said the Serbian Assembly Speaker.

Several people were detained after the incident in front of the Belgrade parliament when activists and citizens gathered and threw eggs and paint at the building, leading to a physical altercation.
