He considers the most serious reservations of disproportionate capacity of the incinerator, increasing the burden on the environment and health, insufficiently evaluated impacts in the EIA process, as well as traffic load and logistics.

« As the main reason for the disagreement, we present the protection of the health of the population and the inappropriate placement of the incinerator in the already very burdened area in terms of accumulation of air pollution from several sources, » says the City Corps.

It considers the capacity of the proposed incinerator and the possible import of waste from other parts of Slovakia or from abroad.

This will affect the overall air pollution in the affected Bratislava districts of Petržalka, Ružinov, Podunajské Biskupice, Vrakuňa or in the new Down Town district, but also in the surrounding villages Rovinka and Hamuliakovo.

It does not seem to be insufficient to evaluate the cumulative effects of the incinerator or the lack of in -depth analysis of the risks associated with the manipulation of the ash and other by -products of combustion that can contaminate the air, soil or water.

According to him, it is not even clear why there was no other variant of the location of the incineration of the incineration of the EIA. It also perceives the problem even in the case of planned waste to Slovnaft, which can significantly increase freight transport in the districts that are already facing excessive traffic load.

Although the capital recommends the use of rail transport, this requirement is not anchored as a binding project parameter.

The municipal council refers that if Slovnaft needs to reconstruct an old incinerator for its needs to meet new air protection standards, it calls for the incinerational capacity to be not promoted or imported by municipal and hazardous waste from other parts of Slovakia or other EU countries.

It declares that the capital will continue to promote the interests of the inhabitants of Bratislava in all other stages of the authorization process, including commenting.
