During the last presidency meeting, Jan Martin Rishaug had a fucking good post on financial prospects. Here he dealt with the shaky municipal economy and opportunities for measures.

Finally, there were some concrete thoughts on how the municipality could take down some of the financial opportunities we have in the municipality. Here he outlined taking down employees (middle managers) on par with what the municipality of Tromsø must now do.

Furthermore, there was a stop in wage increases beyond price increases during the municipality’s wage negotiations with the employees.

Finally, there were some from political leadership who dare to open for bold cuts in a lower -leveled administration, cheers for the deputy mayor and welcome to position.

Unfortunately, such painful measures must be implemented, the municipality the economy should be saved, but then action is needed now.

So far, there has only been proposals from administration on cuts for the weak in society. Here there are quickly cutting opportunities. Now both the elderly in Talvik (Krokryggen) and Vertshuset Eldresenter will be investigated, it may look like.

When Frp in its 2025 budget proposed to take down 10 middle managers, we were almost idiotic -declared by the position parties.

No for the intake of more refugees was also a fy, fy. Now we see the result. Alta municipality has approx. 80 refugees we cannot explain in the municipality.

Who do you think pays for these people? Can refugees be reduced, what has been done by the management to address employees?

Unfortunately, the municipality of Alta has many departments crowded with middle managers at all levels. Only here are great financial savings to be obtained.
