Bozinovska: Czech Republic is ready to support investments in Macedonian energy

Delegation led by Energy, Mining and Mineral Raw Municipalities Sanja Bozinovska held a working meeting in Prague today with the Director of the Economic Sector at the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, Eduard Muritsky and the Director of New Energy Technologies. The talks were focused on concrete investments in the Macedonian energy sector, modernization of AD ESM capacities and the opportunities for financing capital projects by the Czech Government.

According to the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Minerals, Bozinovska noted that the Macedonian government is committed to strategic partnership with the Czech Republic and the implementation of projects that will accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.

– In the Czech Republic we have a stable partner who not only has an interest, but also a specific readiness to support investments in the Macedonian energy sector. We discussed direct investment, as well as opportunities for favorable financing of major infrastructure projects with Czech companies. Modernization of AD ESM's capacity is one of the priorities, and in this segment Czech companies have serious capacity and expertise, Bozinovska said.

The Czech Republic has highlighted the readiness for long -term support, not only through investments, but also through financial instruments that will provide favorable conditions for project implementation. The director of the Economic Sector at the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, Eduard Muritsky, emphasized that the Czech Republic is seeing specific opportunities for strategic cooperation.

– The Czech Government is ready to support Macedonian energy projects through investments and favorable financial mechanisms. We are particularly interested in cooperation in the modernization of energy capacities and implementation of new technologies that will contribute to stability and sustainability – said Muritsky.

Director of Finance of AD ESM, Ivan Stojanovski, emphasized that the new investment cycle in renewable sources is crucial to accelerating the green energy transformation.

« It is extremely important for us to provide cooperation with experienced partners such as the Czech Republic, who can help implement sustainable technologies and provide stable financial conditions for our investments, » Stojanovski said.
