Bozinovska: Chebren and Galiste will choose the best option, several companies interested in building two cogeneration plants
We would like it to be our project. We will look at all the options, and we will choose the best for the citizens, Energy Minister Sanja Bozinovska said today, answering a journalist question about the construction of the Chebren and Galiste hydropower plants.
Bozinovska informs that a framework has already been set and that the final considerations about the financial construction are under way.
It is a project, reminded that it will be built for seven to eight years.
-We had an expert group that worked for several months and we set up a framework. We are now in the final consideration to see how much it would be, whether it would be 1.2 or 1.3 billion. We will see exactly what the amount of the dam will be, what we need. When we know the exact amount, we will see under which best conditions we can start with construction. We would like it to be our project. We will see all the options, which is best for the citizens, we will choose – the minister said, answering journalist questions after the promotion of the Avant2Go project – a modern system for fully electrically shared driving.
Regarding cogeneration plants, he noted that there are already several companies that are interested and wanting to build two such plants.
-This will be a serious investment, we’re talking about a billion euros. We’ll see, talk and discuss. I think we will have more information in the shortest time, but we already have negotiations with several companies – Bozinovska said.
It also informs that the MEPSO report will be considered today, has already been submitted to the Energy Regulatory Commission.
