Bozhidar Bozhanov: The prosecutor's office has fabricated another peak, I give myself immunity

Earlier today, the prosecutor's office requested his parliamentary immunity with the argument that there was sufficient data to participate in the settlement of a company with a contract of BGN 18 million. This happened while he was Minister of Electronic Government, and according to the government, Bozhanov prepared the specifications for the public procurement.

« There was no such case. I have no worries that something is true and on the first day after the holidays I will give myself immunity. Unfortunately, justice is again used for political purposes, » Bozhanov said.

He added that in this case he was not called for questioning. Bozhanov also said that the contract was not even signed by him, but by the office. « All specifics are a creativity that has taken place in the anti -corruption committee, » the MP described.

He specified that he had learned the prosecution first from one of the media linked to Delyan Peevski, and about 5 pm, Parliament, Natalia Kiselova, informed him on the phone that his immunity was required.

« I will not go into speculation about the political motive of the action, but in general, our policy of wanting the institutions to be free from corruption influences is not liked by those institutions that are under corruption, » Bozhanov said.
