The amendment is to be discussed in parliament on Monday.

BRATISLAVA. MEPs National Council for KDH agreed together with deputies working in the Christian Union (CH) with a coalition at the final version of the amendment to the Constitution. Together with the coalition they filed an amendment. This was confirmed by the head of the KDH Group Igor Janckulík.

According to the agreement, the amendment to the Constitution is to be added proposals for a ban on surrogate motherhood or the right of the child to know their parents, that is, that mom is a woman and the father is a man.

Janckulík said KDH managed to push all the priorities except strengthening the reservation in conscience. KDH deputies except for the amendment except František Mikloška.

Chairman SNS Andrej Danko Even earlier, he stated that the agreement with part of the opposition on value issues in the amendment to the Constitution, which « seems to be a compromise », was achieved.

« It is at these moments that I also signed a change that seems to be a compromise between coalition and, we can say, part of the opposition where we would find a compromise on value issues to achieve the necessary quorum to change the constitution, » Danko said, saying that they also agreed with KDH deputies. He reiterated that the CIS would vote for the questions on which they agreed in the coalition.

However, the CIS will not support the voice proposal to fall out of the Constitution the provision of one constituency for Parliamentary elections.

The amendment to the Constitution will be discussed in parliament on Monday. 90 deputies are needed to change the Constitution.
