3,000 applications have been received
« The receipts have been absolutely incredible but about 3,000 applications have been received. Due to the number of applications, they submit applications on the date of birth of a child.
Bonus expects to give about 5,000 baby bonus boxes this year worth ISK 150 million.
All newborn children have a baby bonus, so it is important for parents to apply for one box for each newborn baby.
« We encourage parents to apply for only one box for each child and it would speed up the process if only parents apply but not relatives, » says Peter.
« The beginning of a strong and annual tradition at Bonus »
Bonus, among other things, enjoys the guidance of Helga Reynisdóttir midwife in the selection of products in the box. The box includes infant defects, diapers, wet wipes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, ladies’ ties, pacifiers, creams, face creams for the mother, leakage and detergents.
« Such a gift is a big part of increasing well -being at this time and relieving the financial worries of newly baked parents, » said Helga.
Björgvin Víkingsson, Managing Director of Bonus, says a lot of work has been done with the support of partners and volunteers.
« We are particularly grateful for how positive our partners took in this idea and for the power and kindness they put into the work – also many volunteers have come to work that give their work to be forgotten me, » said Björgvini, but he hopes to go to a similar project next year.
« Hopefully this will be the beginning of a strong and annual tradition for Bonus. »
